Safety Features On Our In-Ground Trampolines
Here are 5 safety features to give you peace of mind.
1) No falling off the edge
One of the most common dangers of traditional, above-ground trampolines is falling off the sides. Above-ground trampolines can be as high as 3 feet off the ground. That’s a big distance to fall, especially after a big jump.In-ground trampolines, on the other hand, are flush with the ground. So you’re never at risk of falling from a dangerous height.
2) Easy to get into
Climbing onto a traditional trampoline is another safety risk, especially for young children.With an in-ground trampoline, there’s no climbing. You simply walk onto it. This is an inherent safety benefit for all ages.
3) No exposed springs or frame
Exposed springs and frames can cause serious injury on a traditional, above-ground trampoline.Akrobat trampolines are built into the ground, so the springs and frame are not exposed whatsoever. We’ve also incorporated several additional features to make the indoor and outdoor trampolines even safer:
Frame pad: Covers the springs and closes the gap between the jumping mat and the ground
Additional spring protection: Prevents you from hitting a spring if your foot accidentally slips between the jumping mat and frame pad
Laminated retaining wall: Increases structural strength and encloses the galvanized steel frame within the ground
Weed protection barrier: Prevents vegetation from encroaching underneath the jumping mat
4) Quick-dry jump mat
A typical trampoline can become slippery and hazardous when wet. Our innovative Akrovent jumping mat is quick drying, preventing accidental slips. If necessary, a quick wipe-down will make the mat safe for jumping – so you can get back to the fun even faster.
5) Tear-resistant Akrovent mat
If you placed a traditional woven trampoline mat under a microscope, you would see that there is very little space between the woven fibers. The mesh is small.The Akrovent jump mat is non-woven and has a bigger mesh. This means there is more space for air to get through. That bigger mesh provides improved airflow and less air resistance. In turn, this results in better rebound and better bouncing!In addition, the non-woven material makes the mat more tear-resistant and rip-resistant. This reduces the risk of the mat becoming damaged and dangerous to jump on.
